The reasons used to oppose marriage between gay and lesbian partners are illogical.  Moreover, they are contrary to what we stand for as Americans.

The current ban by the federal government and most states is a clear violation of our constitutional rights to equal treatment under the law. 

Without equal marriage rights, gay men and lesbians are denied over 1,000 benefits and rights granted to heterosexual married couples. 

The debate over whether or not to allow marriage rights to consenting ADULTS is humiliating and degrading to those of us who are hard working, tax paying American citizens.
